Returns & RMA

Return Policy

We want every FormulaMod customer to be satisfied with their purchase. If something arrives defective, damaged, or not as described, we will make it right. This page explains the return window, eligibility, and how to start a return.

30-Day Return Window

You can request a return within 30 days of delivery for any of the following reasons:

  • Item arrived defective or DOA (dead on arrival).
  • Item was damaged in shipping.
  • You received the wrong item or a wrong revision.
  • Item is materially different from the listing description.
  • Buyer's-remorse returns (unused, in original packaging) — accepted at our discretion; return shipping is the buyer's responsibility and a restocking fee may apply.

Returns requested after 30 days will be reviewed case-by-case but are not guaranteed.

Condition Requirements

  • Item must be unused — no loop water, no thermal paste residue, no installation marks.
  • Item must be in its original packaging with all included accessories, fittings, screws, and documentation.
  • For defective items, we still accept the return if the defect prevented normal use — please describe what you observed.

How to Start a Return

  1. Email customerservice@formulamod.com with the subject line "Return Request — Order #XXXX".
  2. Include your order ID, the SKU you want to return, the reason, and clear photos of the item and packaging if a defect is involved.
  3. We will reply within 24 to 48 business hours with a return authorization (RA) and the correct return address. Do not ship the item back before receiving the RA — unauthorized returns can be lost or refused.
  4. Pack the item securely (the original box is ideal) and ship using a carrier that provides tracking.

Return Shipping Cost

  • Defective, damaged, or wrong item — we cover return shipping or send a prepaid label.
  • Buyer's remorse or compatibility error — return shipping is paid by the buyer.

Refund Timing

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will email you a confirmation. Approved refunds are issued within 5 to 10 business days to the original payment method. Your bank or card issuer may take an additional 3 to 5 business days to post the credit to your statement.

If you prefer, we can issue store credit (no waiting on bank processing) or ship a replacement instead of a refund — just let us know in your return email.

Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene, safety, and consumable reasons, the following cannot be returned:

  • Custom-cut tubing — soft and hard tubing cut to length per your order.
  • Custom or made-to-order distro plates — items engraved, milled, or routed to your spec.
  • Opened thermal paste, thermal pads, and one-time-use cleaning fluids.
  • Coolant and dye once the seal has been broken.
  • Gift cards and store credit.

Defective custom items are still covered — if a custom distro plate has a manufacturing flaw, email us and we will resolve it.

Warranty

Beyond the 30-day return window, products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty (typically 12 months for pumps and electronics). Email customer service and we will help facilitate a warranty claim with the brand.
