Cheap Custom Loop - A Simple Yet Powerful CPU Cooler Solution For Your CPU

In the beginning, I wanted to discuss a cheap custom loop over water cooling systems that is the main selling point of this system, and how I came to discover the company that makes it. The original post in this series was about the company that I bought my processor from, and why I got my processor from them. My goal here is not to talk about that company or their products. I will instead focus on how the custom loop I purchased is configured over the air (I believe this is the same thing as water cooling). If you read my previous posts, I am sure you already know how I got my processor, but I would like to go into detail a bit on the loop I got, and what kind of experience I had installed it.

When I installed the cheap custom loop over water cooling systems, I found out that there are actually two options for configuring the cooling loops. You can run liquid or air (or water and air) through your CPU, depending on the setup you have. I opted for running liquid through my processor. This did not end up being a big issue, but the decision was entirely up to me.

I did run into a problem installing the liquid cooling over the water blocks of my computer. This was because of the nature of the cheap custom loop I chose. I wanted a block that has a big diameter and is very cheap. After some research, I was able to find blocks that fit this description perfectly. This helped me tremendously with my computer's performance increase.

When I installed the cheap custom loop over my air cooler, I immediately noticed that my computer's temperature got a significant increase. To tell you the truth, the increase was so great that I was actually surprised. I cannot even count the amount of times I have been in a situation where I needed to turn on all the fans in order to cool down my computer. These things are designed to keep your computer cool, but when you turn all the fans on, they end up pulling heat from your CPU. As I mentioned, the liquid cooling was the best option for this situation.

Custom loops can also be used to cool your CPU. I found that the best way to install a custom loop was to use a standard CPU block and utilize the front side of the block for the CPU's heat sink. Using the rear side as my CPU cooler allowed me to install the fans on the back of the custom loop I created. I utilized a 360mm radiator I picked up from Amazon. I figured that I could place this over the top of the custom loop I had created. I was pretty happy with the result, and the excess heat was well filtered out by the 360mm of blower fan.

Keeping your computer running at a constant temperature is extremely important to achieving an excellent level of computing performance. I highly recommend picking up a loop as soon as possible. I know that I have improved my computing performance whenever I have implemented these tips. The amount of money you will save when purchasing a loop instead of buying multiple components will be well worth it in the long run.
